Frances Saxton is an accomplished actor, director, educator, and arts leader dedicated to developing the next generation of professional performers. She holds an MFA in Theatre (Acting) from University of Arkansas, a BA in Drama from Greensboro College, and a Higher National Diploma in Physical Theatre from De Montfort University in England.

Frances has taught at the University of Massachusetts, ETSU, William & Mary, Christopher Newport University, and Washington Adventist University. She is a Designated Sanford Meisner Teacher and serves as Director of College Programs for the Meisner Institute. She is also a member of the Alliance of Acting Teachers, SAFD, and MICHA.

Under her leadership, students have earned professional representation, acceptance into SAG-AFTRA, and major film, television, and theatre credits. Students have also been accepted into top university programs and prestigious performing arts schools.

Frances Saxton’s students and alumni continue to achieve outstanding professional success across film, television, theatre, and commercial media. Under her training, performers have secured major agent signings—including the studio’s 45th client to sign with professional representation—and earned multiple acceptances into SAG-AFTRA. Alumni credits include feature films such as Scary Movie 6 (Release summer 2026) Hurricane Roads, Gateway, Double Date, Scary Movie 6, Grind, Cherry Blossoms, and Office Romance with Jennifer Lopez, as well as television and streaming projects including Law & Order: SVU, The Good Lord Bird, Harriet, The Summer I Turned Pretty, FBI, Tulsa King, Tulsa, Your Friends and Neighbors, Evil Lives Here, The Battle of Lexington and Concord, River Oaks, and The Agency on Netflix. Their work also extends to national commercial campaigns for Busch Gardens, National Football League, Sprouts, the Baltimore Ravens, Virginia Lottery, and Discover Card. In addition, alumni have earned Off-Broadway recognition, including featured roles in SAW The Musical. These accomplishments reflect the depth of Frances’s training and her commitment to preparing artists for sustained professional careers.
